Laminate in a condo - progress
Last weekend, while Tara and friends attended the Pride parade, I started ripping out carpet in the condo. We made good progress Sunday afternoon, and Monday we went looking for supplies. We ordered the laminate, and the remaining evenings of the week consisted of rounding materials and tools. After work today, we finally started laying down flooring.
I started at about 5pm, but did not cut my first piece <wrongly> until 8:15. It took quit a while to reorganize everything, set up the saws, and lay down underlay. In order to get proper spacing in the hallway, I started in a fairly awkward position, which required both a wall rip and a door notch. Things should progress well tomorrow -- until I hit the den doorway ...
I will try to keep my progress updated via pictures in my picasa account.
